I recommend a visit here. The changing of the guard is a must see. Also several monuments. Be prepared to walk with comfortable shoes it’s very hilly. Plenty of pay parking.

This is a place to pay respect to the veterans who are interred here, many of whom died to preserve our freedom. You can also find the Tomb of the Unknowns & can see the changing of the guard.

Finally participated in 2017's wreath distribution. After living in the Northern Virginia area for 4+ years, hubby and I volunteered to place wreaths on fallen soldiers grave sites.

Un des plus grand cimetière. Des tombes a perte de vue mais des arbres partout. Quelques personnes connues (JFK) et beaucoup qui ne le sont pas. Intéressant à voir au moins une fois.

Very moving place to visit! The bus tour is only $12 and is definitely worth all the money.

Take the bus tour and bring water. It's a lot of walking, and a long trip if you want to get off the bus occasionally, but very worth the trip.

Felt so proud and humble just to be able to walk around the cemetery and also witness the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. No words- so much respect! I didn't even want to breath or talk.

Aside from the obvious of the eternal flame and the Tomb of the Unknown, you should also go see the graves of the Apollo 1 astronauts in the monument to the USS Maine

Arlington National Cemetery, once the home of General Robert E. Lee, is the country’s largest military cemetery. Tours are available for a small fee or you can walk the grounds yourself.

Be aware there are some places which are not wheelchair accessible (like Grant's tomb). Also you should plan on doing a lot of walking. Lee's Arlington House offers a great view of Washington.
